Beautiful skin is something everyone hopes for. We use various treatments and creams to get that glow on our face. The skin on our face is exposed to many harsh and unpleasant things. So it is imperative to fight the problems from inside. It is important to assist the body with the cell renewal process by eating the right kind of food. Eating a balanced diet is the first step towards getting a beautiful skin inside out .After all what we eat plays an important part in supplying the body with the vital nutrients that are required by the body to renew the cells. A correct and balanced diet will ensure a young and blemish free skin.

Incorporate lot of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. These are abundant source of anti-oxidants, which helps to protect the skin from harmful free radicals. Sun and the pollution’s levels play havoc with your skin, causing it to wrinkle. Eat at least five helpings of fruits and vegetables in a day to get a smooth and supple skin which glows with health.

Selenium is found in Fish, tomatoes, eggs, wheat germ, broccoli etc. It is a very powerful anti-oxidant. It helps fight cancer, age spots and sun damage.

Crash diets deprive your skin of important nutrients. This leaves the skin looking dull and lifeless. Avoid long periods of starvation to lose weight. Shift to a heather and planned way to reduce weight.

Drink a lot of water. This helps the body to flush out toxins from the body. It is recommended to drink 6-8 glasses every day. The moisture provided by water is essential to the skin to stay supple. Dehydration makes the skin look dull, lifeless and dry.

Omega-3 fats help the body to produce anti-inflammatory compounds. This helps to tackle skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. It can be found in flax seeds oil, walnuts, fish etc.
