I was planning on showing you a healthy and delicious homemade protein bar recipe, but the one I made only fulfilled one of those promises.
Protein bar recipe fail. It was healthy. But it wasn’t delicious enough to post on our Live Lean TV YouTube channel. We won’t play you like that.
So I’m going to go back in the lab and try to create a freakingly delicious protein bar recipe.
If you have a go-to protein bar recipe that you love, and is paleo-friendly, go DM me the recipe on Instagram @BradGouthro as I’d love to try it, and potentially share it on this blog.
Regardless if your goal is muscle building or weight loss, most of us have late night cravings.
One of the best nutrient combinations to fill you up, and achieve your goals is:
– Protein
– Healthy fat
– Fiber
Sure you could have a canned tuna and an avocado, but I’m sure at night you’d probably prefer a chocolate almond butter cup.
Am I right?
If you’re nodding your head, you’re going to love this delicious healthy nighttime snack for muscle building.
This recipe is also comprised on fat burning ingredients, but of course, if weight loss is your goal, just make sure this shake fits into your calorie deficit needs.
So next time you have a late night craving, rather than reaching for a Reece’s Peanut Butter Cup, give this chocolate almond butter cup protein shake a try.
Here’s how quick and simple it is to make.
Healthy Nighttime Snack For Muscle Building

I love using Rootz Nutrition Paleo Protein because they make a super high quality protein powder that is egg protein based. This is easily digestible for me.
Since I was taking a whey protein isolate for over 10 years, I started to build an intolerance for it. I noticed I was bloating more and getting gas more often from whey protein powder (sorry Jess).
Based on this, I decided to take some time off from whey and switch to an egg protein powder. Once I did, the bloat and gas pretty much went away.
Plus, this delicious chocolate banana nut flavor contains only super healthy, natural ingredients.
I bet you won’t find these ingredients in your protein powder:
– Stevia
– Chia seeds
– Flax seeds
– Maca root
– Bee pollen
– Acai
– Goji berries
– Blueberries
– Spirulina
– Chlorella
– Kale
– Spinach
– Broccoli
In other words, this is not your typical junk and chemical filled protein powder.
Plus it has 4 grams of fiber per serving!
Thanks for watching and keep Living Lean.
