FOUR NEW PHYSIQUE CHAMPIONS CROWNED AT INAUGURAL SINGAPORE FITNESS MODEL SEARCH 2014

No longer are the days where the boys dream of growing up to be big and massive like the Hulk, and girls are afraid of having muscle definition. Instead, physique competitions are the latest trend in fitness as regular gym-goers and sports enthusiasts aim to become aesthetic eye candy instead.

Thus, the inaugural Singapore Fitness Model Search (SFMS) 2014 was held on 28 September at the National University of Singapore (NUS) University Cultural Centre with the objective of allowing the 50 over men and women to inspire others with healthy and toned physiques that come as a result of admirable levels of fitness, rather than overwhelming physical definition and excessive muscular development from intense weightlifting.

An initiative by Fitness Movement Singapore, spearheaded by former Mr Singapore Kevin Chiak, President of Bodybuilding Singapore that organises the annual National Bodybuilding and Physique Championship, the SFMS follows the international physique code of dressing and judging as finalists compete in Men’s Physique and Miss Bikini Fitness across two age categories, 18-29 years old and above 30 years old.
