Inner Chest Workout / Best Inner Chest Exercises for Mass. A lot of people want to find out how to build the inner chest. They want to know what exercises they can do to make that line or separation between their chest muscles. Most asking this share one thing in common. They are beginners in weight training, or they don’t have much size in their chest.

I hate to break it to you but there is no inner chest muscle. In fact, there is no outer chest muscle either.

The pec tor alice major has 2 heads, or in other words..the chest muscle has two parts. The cla vic ular head, which is usually called the upper chest…and the much larger sternal head, which is usually called the lower chest.

You can’t contract a specific part of the chest, like the supposed inner chest, because the entire muscle must contract as a whole.

#1) Your lacking overall chest size. You can’t grow a big outer chest without also growing the inner chest. Keep doing heavy compound movements.

#2) Your body fat percentage is too high. Some have a muscular chest, but their bodyfat is covering up their inner chest muscles. Myself for example, it’s not that my chest muscles are that big, it’s just my body fat percentage is low enough that it makes my chest look bigger and fuller.
