How To Use Resistance Bands For Your Workout (BEST RESISTANCE BANDS)

Hey Live Lean Nation, we get a ton of questions about resistance bands, not just for traveling, but also for your home workouts. I’ve been loving using these resistance bands, from a company called FREETOO, or my home workouts. Order a set of FREETOO bands using this link and coupon code:

Check out how I to use resistance bands for my workout, and some of the exercises I like to do with them.

These high quality resistance bands are from FREETOO. They have been a favorite of mine out of all the ones I’ve tried so far, as they are super smooth and not too sticky. They also are very thick and strong, so they will last a long time without tearing or breaking.

This set of resistance bands also provides options for giving you more resistance, which is amazing for doing assisted pull-ups. In this set, you also get four different sizes. I like to use the lighter resistance bands for mobility exercises like shoulder stretches, side stretches, and different upper body stretches.

Remember, resistance bands are not just for strength training. They are also great for flexibility and mobility, which is so important for your overall health.

I also like that these resistance bands help you get into stretches that you possibly couldn’t normally get into. I highly recommend adding these if you do consider yourself
like stiff as it will really help you get into those stretches, and hold them longer than you could without the resistance band.

I also like to use it for stretching my hamstrings, and even for training my balance. There is so much you can do with these resistance bands.

When it comes to strength training, there is so much you can do. You can pretty much do
anything you could do with a set of dumbbells. In some cases, you can do even more. For example, pull downs or assisted pull-ups.

You can do these exercises at home, if you have a bar, or at any park. It’s a really convenient way to assist yourself.

When it comes to lower body, my favorite exercise to do with the resistance band is the glute
kickback.

I find the yellow band is the perfect resistance to really hit the booty good. My favorite ab exercise with the resistance band is the kneeling rope crunch. Typically I do this at the gym using the cable machine, but I can now do this at home with my resistance bands attached to the pull-up bar.

I also love traveling with these resistance bands as it comes with a carrying case. I can bring these to the track, gym, or a hotel.

The resistance band is a great way to warm up every single muscle in your body. Before a track workout, I like to warm up with a resistance band squat and press. Then I love doing glute kickbacks, using the yellow resistance band, so I can really get some good
glute activation to prepare me to have more power and speed during my sprints.

Then to loosen up the shoulders, and make sure I have good range of motion with my arms, I like to do overhead stretches. It feels incredible and the resistance band is the perfect tool to do that with.

Brad and I were also playing around with these partner resisted sprints, which are a lot of fun. After the workout, just swirl them back up and stuff them back in the bag. You can take them anywhere you go. Again, I love the fact that they’re lightweight and they can just fit in the bottom of my stroller.
