HOW TO PREPARE FOR A FITNESS COMPETITION

In this video, I discuss how to prepare for a fitness competition. I am flying over to Thailand tomorrow to compete in the World Titles.

In this video, I discuss the following checklist of things to consider when preparing for an overseas fitness competition.

This is actually a check list for myself which you may also find helpful for your own preparation ๐Ÿ™‚

– I am staying at the Slate Resort and there is a kitchenette (and access to a microwave to reheat meals)

– is there a bath tub? (to have epsom salt baths)

– bringing towels and sheets to put them over the bed in the resort so the stage tan does not rub off onto the sheets.

– bringing your own kitchen scales (which I decided last minute not to take to avoid problems with Customs in Thailand)

– keep legs up during the flight (and wearing compression tights.) I had to change my seat on the aircraft.

– I will be water loading during the flight so close access to the lavatory is important! I don’t want a window seat!

– bring all meal prep as frozen meals as your carry-on luggage

– if travelling to a climate where it is hot… watch your tan and ensure it does not sweat off!

– get your tanning organised in the country/state you will be competing in

– organise a photoshoot with someone where you will be competing. I am getting a photoshoot with a photographer that is based in Phuket.

– look for gyms nearby the venue you will be staying or competing.

– take pump-up or pre-stage food with you as some countries may not stock what you need.

– pack resistance bands

It’s Brad here. My life is about fitness and travel adventure and I want to continue inspiring the world through creating videos to help inspire you to live an amazing life.

Many people that have watched my videos will often say “Brad, you have an amazing life!” – and the truth is… Yes! But, I was once a very sick, out-of-shape guy that spent a lot of time in hospital from chest infections and illnesses and coming from a very lonely and broken family with no siblings.

In June 2016, I started vlogging my fitness journey of getting into the best shape possible to compete in my first amateur bodybuilding competition in March 2017. I won the competition! Wow…!! I came from nothing! I became obsessed with creating fitness video courses on Udemy and Skillshare showing people how they can get into shape the same way I did.

This “new life” of mine has allowed me to have the energy to create travel adventure videos and more fitness vlogs to inspire more people to get out and see the world ๐Ÿ™‚
