How to make Shrimp Soup ( Filipino Shrimp Soup) Shrimp Tinola recipe

How to make Shrimp soup – shrimp soup is a wonderful Filipino shrimp soup from my Filipino cooking channel presented in English and is known as Shrimp Tinola or Tinolang Hipon in the Philippines.

My shrimp soup recipe has a lovely warmth from the ginger and with the garlic, spinach and lemongrass is a very healthy shrimp soup to enjoy.

This shrimp soup recipe only takes 15 minutes to cook and all cooked in just one pot. So if you are after a quick and easy dinner idea this shrimp soup ticks all the boxes.

Here are the ingredients of my Shrimp soup ( Filipino shrimp recipe)

300 g of shrimp ( prawns)
100 g spinach, ( alagbati or malunggay as alternative )
1 chayote (green papaya as an alternative)
2 red chili peppers, ( optional )
2 tomatoes, cut into 4 slices
1 onion, peeled and sliced into quarter
1 thumb-sized of ginger, cut into julienne
1 stalk of lemongrass, crushed
5 tbsp fish sauce ( patis )
1 liter of water
