Breaking News – Bodybuilder Zoey Wright becomes face of fitness brand

A woman forced to wear an ostomy bag following a near fatal battle with bowel disease has been named as the face of a sports fitness brand after becoming a champion bodybuilder.Zoey Wright, 25, from Cornwall, vowed she would achieve her dreams of becoming a bodybuilder even as she battled ulcerative colitis, a painful condition caused by the inflammation of the rectum and colon, four years ago.Since beating the disease and being fitted with the ostomy bag in 2014, Zoey has gone on to win several bodybuilding titles – most recently cinching the international bodybuilding title of Overall World Champion for the largest growing fitness modelling federation in the UK, Pure Elite.And in her latest impressive achievement, she has been unveiled as the face of USN.Zoey took to Instagram to announce to her followers that she had been chosen as the new face for USN (Ultimate Sports Nutrition).Sharing her excitement over the announcement, she wrote: ‘I can now announce that I am the new face of USN. I really have no words. I felt like a winner before I even received the news just from the sheer amount of support you guys gave me.’I’m looking forward to 2018 working with the USN team and helping promote their ethos, an ethos I live by every single day!’.But her journey has not come without a battle. This week Zoey shared a side by side shot of her body three years apart, opening up about her difficult journey.Uploading a snap of her pre-surgery body in June 2014, next to a picture taken in October 2017, she wrote: ‘That moon face though, in the left pic…courtesy of the medication I was on.’Prior to my surgery in late 2014 I spend 2 years on a lot of medication and treatments….At one point I was taking up to 40 tablets a day and visiting hospital for intravenous infusions every 6 weeks which took pretty much a whole day…I remember one was on my boyfriend’s birthday. Problems someone in their early 20s doesn’t expect to be worrying about,’ she wrote.Continuing on about her battle with the disease, she added: ‘But hey I was putting up a good fight to avoid the dreaded surgery (for those who don’t know…..that pouch on my stomach). Sometimes I wish I had done it sooner to save the pain I went through, but then I’d be kicking myself for not exhausting all options first.And Zoey admitted that she was thrilled to have turned such a tough experience around.’I wouldn’t have the strength to be the person I am today… I have come so far since this left photo and it’s only been just over 3 years. Facing my biggest fear has enabled me to become who I am today.’I feel blessed to have been given this unique journey, and the chance to inspire so many others to step up and take control of their life. I’m making my stamp in the fitness industry with every day that passes…with what could have been an image destroying experience…I’ve turned it into an opportunity to take life by the horns,’ she concluded.Zoey first started to feel poorly in 2012 when she noticed her
