I’m joined in the kitchen by fitness influencer and personal trainer Tally Rye, who is serving up her delicious go-to porridge recipe!
I know making breakfast with a friend, partner or family on the weekend isn’t for everyone – there’s definitely more washing-up and clearing-up than when one person is in charge! – but its such a fun way to get everyone involved in living a healthy lifestyle.
FOR THE PORRIDGE
1 banana
Roughly half a cup of oats
Cinnamon (to taste)
1 cup water
Coconut milk (to taste)
Frozen raspberries, nut butter and pumpkin seeds for topping
METHOD:
Add 1/2 of a banana, oats, and water to a bowl and mix together.
Microwave for 2 and a half minutes, and stir.
Add a splash of coconut milk (or milk of choice) to the bowl and stir until thoroughly combined.
Use the other half of the banana, slice and put on the top. Melt some frozen berries in the microwave for 1 minute and mash, then place on top. Add some peanut butter and pumpkin seeds.
