Five Physical Fitness Mindset Tips

Your body achieves what your mind believes. It’s a simple concept that millions of people struggle to come to terms with. And…yes, I know you’ve heard it before….

Your fitness and your body are often reflective of your lifestyle.

We also sometimes blame our genetics for our weight. Or we do our best to try and love ourselves for how we are–trying to get the world to stop ‘fat shaming’ us. The truth of the matter is that

only a small percentage of the population is overweight and out of shape due to genetic reasons.

Most people who are out of shape are that way as a result of a sedentary lifestyle, poor diet choices, and just flat out don’t care about their own well-being. What’s up with that?

Once you understand that fitness and weight loss is a mind game and not a physical one, you’ll know that ultimately, it’s all in your hands.

Your lack of or current fitness status doesn’t matter. When you decide to take definite action and work to get out of the rut that you’re in, you’re closer to achieving your goals.

If you don’t like your current fitness status, guess what? You are at an advantage…a mental advantage. You must not like being where you are. It’s this pain that will get you jumpstarted to go

work out when your mind keeps cooking up a million excuses just to skip the session.

If you just resign yourself to your fate of being overweight and try to love yourself for what you are, you’ll not be in enough pain to improve.

Old ways do not open new doors.

Men also ignore something else. Again, kind of in your face, but here it is…

When you carry excess fat, have high cholesterol, are eating all the wrong foods and not active, you are risking disease: diabetes, blood pressure issues, osteoporosis, sarcopenia, etc. can’t give two hoots about a positive self-image.

For example, if you’re eating sugary foods and processed carbs without a care in the world, you’re probably going to become insulin insensitive. Doing that gives you a high chance of getting diabetes. The statistics for type 2 diabetes has skyrocketed around the world. There’s a mental decision you have to make.

What I’m saying here is, if you are not happy with where you are, take the steps to get to a happy fitness place and therefore a much better place in life. Nothing will change if you don’t change.

You have 3 choices – quit, do nothing or take action.

If you don’t like where you are and have decided to act, you’re on the right track.
