2018 Army National Guard Best Warrior Competitors Conduct an Army Physical Fitness Test

Thirteen Soldiers from 14 different competing states conducted an Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) as one of their graded events during the 2018 Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition at Fort Indiantown Gap July 25. To the surprise of the competitors, who were anticipating only having to complete a standard APFT, a series of various other physical fitness exercises were required of them beforehand. These exercises included shuttle sprints while carrying several different weighted objects and T-pushups. Army Spc. Bailey Ruff, who won the 2018 ARNG Best Warrior Competition (Soldier of the Year board) was interviewed post-2 mile run.
