Today, you’re going to learn the best foods to eat after a workout. And… one quick chocolatey recipe that I LOVE making to help me recover.
Eating the right foods after a hard workout can help expedite recovery, grow muscle tissue, and allows you to train at high levels again sooner. But… not eating the right foods can make it difficult for your muscles to recover. And… you might start feeling sluggish or weak. That’s where “post-workout nutrition” comes in. The science suggests that your body opens up a small ‘window’ of opportunity for about 45 minutes to an hour after you workout to repair and refuel.
Here are some of the foods to eat during that time period:
Eggs
Nuts
Coconut Oil
Nutrient dense green veggies
Protein powder shakes
