Just because it is Keto doesn’t mean i will do all fat or protein. I still consider my macros. In terms of carbs I stick with Veggies (more alkaline base carbs than acidic)

If you choose to add acidic food, Insulin is sensitive to Acidic carbs and spikes up your blood sugar level through your glucose level which turns in to glycogen to be used by the blood. And excess glycogen is stored as fat.

However, when you focus on more of alkaline base carbs the insulin level rises naturally and stays stable can also mean less cravings (in a good way!) compare to bad carbs, because there was a sudden spike of the insulin, you may most like feel more cravings
