I had tried lots of different menu plans before finally becoming a believer on Atkins when my brother lost the first 75 pounds oh his 200 pound weight loss. It was hard to stay cynical after that. The biggest challenge I see to most people starting Atkins is actually reading the book and putting aside the popular misconceptions of what the diet is and is not. Most people want to think it is an all meat, no carb diet, which could not be further from the truth. The other popular misconception is that Atkins is simply diet alone.

The real beauty of the diet is that it allows for individuality of taste and personalization within some broad rules. It really is in my opinion the EASIEST diet to follow.

Finally, remember Induction only needs to last 14 days, but Atkins is a lifelong journey.
