6:20 – There is a difference between being in shape and being healthy. Health is essentially a pyramid with nutrition being the foundation, then exercise, then lifestyle. Nutrition is the most important factor in a healthy lifestyle followed by at least 30 minutes of exercise daily. The lifestyle factors include sleep and stress.
10:19 – Rachel grew up in Minnesota, moved to Texas to attend Baylor with the intent of becoming a dietician. While in college, she started her social media accounts, which she used to post motivational stories including her own struggles. As her social media following grew, she incorporated her nutritional training with motivational posts to define her brand.
14:50 – Currently, Rachel has over 265,000 followers and states that the key to growing your social media brand and following, post about subjects in which you are truly interested. Share your story including your struggles. Find your niche, you cannot please everyone with every post. Be genuine and followers with find you.

Many people who struggle with committing to a diet or workout plan comes from self-doubt. Countering that requires adopting self-confidence building actions. Something as simple as picking out your clothes for the following day.
