Omaha Fitness: Recipes for a Tasty and Healthy Summer

The weather is hot and pretty soon the grill will be, too. One of my favorite things to do is find new and interesting BBQ recipes. I like to find things that are more unique and adventurous than your standard old hot dog and potato salad. I have four delicious recipes to share with you today that are sure to make you the star of your summer potluck. Stuffed roasted BBQ chicken, anyone? Summertime means grilling time. What is the first thing you think of when you think about grilling? Burgers, hot dogs, and pasta salad? You are not alone. Why is it “normal” to be limited to only making those things when it comes to a BBQ? Because it’s easy, that’s why. Why not take your next BBQ to the next level with some “out of the box” recipes and ideas that will surely make people think twice when it comes to “normal” foods to bring to a BBQ?

Now, these recipes may take a little more time, but the creativity involved will make people say, “WOW! I never would have thought about this.” I have provided two different main dish recipes and a couple of side dish recipes that you can make and/or bring to your next summer gathering that will be a hit with everyone. The best part about these recipes is that they are healthy. No more stuffing yourself with food that is loaded with fat and cholesterol. I assure you that you will not have leftovers unless you stash some away from everyone for yourself.
