I used to think that over working out would help me achieve my fitness goals. I want to encourage you down a different path than I took when I was younger and cheer you on to take the path of moderation, balance, and rest. Often time we think that if we grit through everything that we’ll get there faster – and while that may be true to some extent – we end up getting there exhausted and worn out unable to enjoy the fruit of our labor. And you might even end up going backwards like I did because shortcuts aren’t so short in the end. So my friend! I encourage you to TAKE YOUR TIME! You will never regret doing something right the first time – rest, drink water, wake up early, go to bed early, stretch, foam roll, push yourself, care for yourself because YOU CAN DO THIS!
