While it’s true that nursing a baby does burn extra calories, many mothers are surprised to learn that losing weight while breastfeeding isn’t always an easy feat.

As a registered dietitian, I don’t believe that mamas should worry about losing weight soon after giving birth. Nor do I encourage it.

However, I do realize that many women have questions surrounding this topic and understand the desire to fit back into non-maternity clothes.
