How To Diet For Contest Prep – Week 12

I had my first ‘moment’ this week, where tears started to form on my very first exercise at training ? I’m sure many of you have been in that place, where you just don’t think you can make it through another set…. but … if you’re anything like me… you always do!

This week I talk about some of the things that often don’t go according to plan during a Contest Prep!

1. Being so busy I forget to eat, and I can confirm, this does NOT have positive affects on training at this stage of the game.
2. Accidentally consuming a product you thought was CALORIE FREE, only to find it has more carbohydrate than an ENTIRE sushi buffet ?.
Now imagine me realizing this midway through a spin class bike ? I DEFINITELY went MIA in horror for a number of minutes as I tried to compose myself ?

Yet while the week ‘taketh’ away…. the week also ‘giveth’. Despite some small slip ups, I did manage to pull an ALL time PR on deadlift at 320lbs (146kg) for doubles ☺️
So things werent all doom and gloom. –
I also spent some time checking in with my competitors to see how they girls are all doing. They actually keep me motivated ?? Thanks for staying present on social media ladies ? I can’t wait to step on stage with the @wbff_official QUEENS ?@stephanieayala7 & @hattieboydle
