Healthy Meals & Recipes | Food Diaries

Here is a bacon turkey chili recipes and corn bread!!!! Enjoy!

Chili:
1 cup pinto beans (uncooked)
1 cup kidney beans (uncooked)
6 strips bacon (chopped into pieces)
1 lb ground turkey
1 can tomato juice
1 can diced tomatoes
2 tbsp chili powder and garlic powder
1 tbsp pepper and sea salt
2 tbsp dried parsley
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 red and green bell pepper
1 small white onion
1 small jalapeño

Cook and crisp bacon first, then add all ingredients to crock pot. Coko on high 5-6 hours or low 6-8 hours.

Cornbread:
2 3/4 cups flour
1 1/4 cup corn meal
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 cup butter (2 sticks)
11/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp sea salt
4 eggs

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients well. Line 9×9 pan with tin foil. Pour batter in and bake for 25-30 min. Or until knife poked in center comes out clean.
