Are you enlightened or frightened into taking responsibility for your health?

Which do you think is more empowering motivation long term?

Idk about you… but I would definitely rather feel enlightened than frightened…

And, it’s great that I realized that because now

I get to relentlessly demolish my fear into dust
and create an enlightening vision of what is possible

I mean, think about it.

So many people are barely surviving.

Feeling fatigued, anxious and depressed, and only start to maybe really get serious about their situation after they get scared $h!tless by a heart attack or something.
DO NOT LET THAT BE YOU!

However, I do think it is important to get real about serious situations. 
No sugar coating over here.
Literally.. 😉

LET’S LOOK FEAR IN THE FACE
and show it who’s boss

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that improving lifestyle factors like eating habits and physical activity would prevent:

80% of heart disease and stroke
80% of type 2 diabetes and
40% of cancer diagnoses

This is SERIOUS!

According to the CDC

133 million Americans – 45% of the population – have at least one chronic disease
Chronic diseases are responsible for seven out of every 10 deaths in the U.S., killing more than 1.7 million Americans every year
OK cool, so with chronic diseases unnecessarily increasing in the US population year after year, I hope you’re at least a little concerned.

NOW THE FUN PART

LET’S CREATE AN EMPOWERING VISION
and feed our power

I envision myself:

feeling energized, focused, calm, and productive
going on adventures! Like crazy hikes, bike tours, and doing water sports
trying new things like surfing, roller blading, skiing, and everything else that this bod is capable of doing
being a strong plant based individual to show the world that it is possible to get enough protein cruelty free
dancing when I easily hop out of bed in the morning from a restful sleep
this list could go on for days!

You’ve probably heard of the tale of two wolves? ~

A Cherokee elder was teaching his young grandson about life.
“A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.
“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.

One is evil-
he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt and ego.

The other is good-
he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.

This same fight is going on inside you—
and inside every other person, too.”

The boy thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather,
“Which wolf will win?”

The elder simply replied,
“The one you feed.” 

In a world where you get to decide whether you feed your fear or your power.
