Do Fitness Models Do Deadlifts?

Do fitness models do deadlifts?

I’m sure some do. But there is no killer move to get a body like that.

Deadlifts are supposed to be a killer move to build up strength.

Deadlifts do build strength, and they do use a lot of muscle groups. But if you do it wrong or too long, you’ll also kill your back.

That’ll put a crimp in a workout regimen.

That’ll strain a muscle and maybe even tear something. Major surgery will leave you looking like the before photo of a weight loss program.

I’ve heard of fitness products taking pictures of someone after surgery or before having a baby and then taking the so called before photo after they get back in shape. Speaking of shape, are deadlifts essential?

It will build those lower back and butt muscles that need to be tight when you turn around, and those aren’t going to get that good if you’re just doing sit ups and crunches to build those abs.

Otherwise, everything gets out of balance.

You have to be careful with balance on deadlifts. Otherwise, you’ll strain your back.

And that’s a pain in the rear.

No, a pain in the back. And you don’t want to be stopped by back pain any more than an athlete wants to be benched for knee replacement because he couldn’t stop running.

So deadlifts are a good idea if done right and will stop my workout plan cold if I do it wrong.

And you should mix up the routine to use other muscle groups. Don’t forget to improve balance and endurance, too.

I thought strength was the most important thing.

Only if you plan on looking like Arnold Schwarzenegger back before he got old and frumpy. Otherwise, you want to smoothly build up all groups, so you look fit.

That is the intent of a fitness model.
