Do fitness models blast and cruise?
Blasting means you use a lot of weight loss or muscle growth supplements for a while. Then you drop down to a maintenance level for a while, called cruising.
I’ve heard that blasting and cruising yields better results than taking supplements constantly.
Ideally, a fitness model doesn’t need any supplements at all. Simply manage your diet and workout routine.
But there are fitness models who do blast and cruise.
I think you just like to say the phrase. Sure, some do it, but some also smoke pot, which doesn’t mean you should.
Blasting yields maximum effect, while cruising prevents the supplements from damaging your kidneys or liver.
Some supplements are dangerous in any dose, like stimulants. Others are dangerous if taken for a long time, like diuretics.
Hence the cruising.
If you can’t stay fit without supplements, you aren’t fit. It’s like saying you can’t stay on your diet without popping laxatives after breakfast.
Why do body builders blast and cruise?
To lose more weight and fat right before competition and then return to a more normal state afterward. Some do it to save money on supplements, avoid toxic dosages long term or stay below drug testing thresholds.
Others cruise so their weight doesn’t yo-yo, gaining it all back after taking weight loss supplements.
Yes, yo-yoing weight hurts your body. It also means you can’t stick to a healthy diet without supplements.
It’s a good advertisement for the supplements.
Or it is an admission that you can’t live a healthy diet and need drugs as a crutch.
Like alcohol as a social lubricant.
Which leaves you just as likely to do stupid things that could damage your health. And consumes your spare cash in pursuit of the dreams of a better life.
You think fitness models manage it all by exercise.
Fitness models should look that way because of the way they live, not the chemicals they take. Watching what they eat should be a close second, and supplements only mentioned to make money off endorsements.
