Cauliflower Crust Pizza | Modern Fitness | Healthy Recipes

CAULIFLOWER CRUST PIZZA

MACROS:

Calories: 147 per slice (8 slices)

INGREDIENTS:

1 Cauliflower head
1 TBSP Salt
1 Egg
1 Cup Parmesan
1 Bowl Seasoning (onion powder, garlic powder, basil, oregano, black pepper)
1 Cup Mozzarella
1-2 TBSP Olive oil
1/5 Cup Tomato sauce
Optional ingredients:
– 6 Oz Ground Turkey
– 1/4 Whole onion
– 1 Cup Arugula
– 2 Bell peppers
PREPARATION:

1. Chop up 1 cauliflower and grind it down in a food processor.
2. Place the ground cauliflower into a paper towel over a strainer. Mix in 1/2 tbsp of salt.
3. Wrap the cauliflower in the paper towel. Using your hands, squeeze out the excess water.
4. Microwave the cauliflower in a microwave-safe bowl for 2 minutes.
5. Flatten the cauliflower in the bowl and refrigerate.
6. While the cauliflower is refrigerating, fill a bowl with 1 egg, 1/2 cup parmesan, seasoning, and 1/2 mozzarella.
7. Retrieve the cauliflower from the fridge and mix the cauliflower into the bowl as well.
8. Grab a baking tray and lay down some parchment paper or a cooking sheet. Massage the mix into a pizza crust shape on the tray.
9. Sprinkle 1 tbsp of olive oil and 1/2 tbsp of salt on the crust and bake at 450°F for 15 minutes.
10. Remove crust from over and apply tomato sauce and mozzarella to the crust.
11. Add additional toppings of choice. We used ground turkey, onion, arugula and bell peppers.
12. Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes.
13. Remove from oven, let cool, slice up.
