Chances of PAkistan seem smil to reach semifinal as they have to win atleast 4 of their remaining five games, they are going to play with India on June 16 and they have never won a World Cup game against arch rival India, they still have to play NZ, SA, BD and Afghanistan. Pakistan are at the number 8th spot at the moment and only top four teams will play semi finals.
History of Pakistan vs India in World Cups
Pakistan and India have played six world cup games so far and interestingly India have won all the games, though over all win and loss ration of Pakistan is better against India but India won the matches when it mattered most.
India have beaten Pakistan in 1992, 1996. 1999, 2003, 2011 and 2015, June 16, 2019 would be the 7th occasion that India and Pakistan will take on each other. Indian team seems more balanced and well prepared to take on Pakistan, but with Pakistan you never know, which Pakistan will emerge on a certain day, the best one or the poor one as they can beat any team on a given day and can also lose against a very average or below average team. Cricket lovers around the globe take special interest in the India v Pakistan game and it is such a treat to watch for the passionate cricket fans. So billions of people would be glued to their TV sets on June 16 as India and Pakistan will be playing in the World Cup match.

Detail of ICC World Cup 2019
The 2019 Cricket World Cup (officially ICC Cricket World Cup 2019) is the 12th edition of the Cricket World Cup, scheduled to be hosted by England and Wales,[1][2] from 30 May to 14 July 2019.[3]
The hosting rights were awarded in April 2006, after England and Wales withdrew from the bidding to host the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, which was held in Australia and New Zealand. The first match will be played at The Oval while the final will be played at Lord’s. It is the fifth time that the Cricket World Cup will be held in England and Wales, following the 1975, 1979, 1983 and 1999 World Cups.
The format for the tournament will be a single group of 10 teams, with each team playing the other nine once, and the top four at the end of the group phase progressing to the semi-finals. The 10-team tournament has gained criticism due to the lack of Associate teams in the tournament. Given the increase of the Test-playing nations from 10 to 12, with the admission of Ireland and Afghanistan in June 2017, it will be the first World Cup to be contested without all of the Test playing nations being present,[4] and after the elimination of all the Associate teams at the qualifying tournament, this will be also be the first World Cup to feature no Associate members.
Following the 2019 Pulwama attack, several former Indian players and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) called for the boycott of the group match fixture between India and Pakistan, wanting to ban the Pakistan cricket team from playing in the tournament.[5][6][7] However, after conducting a press meet in Dubai, the International Cricket Council (ICC) rejected the BCCI’s statement regarding banning Pakistan from the World Cup and assured that the scheduled match will go ahead as planned despite the ongoing standoff between the two nations.
