Liverpool duo Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joe Gomez have shared amazing video updates of their fitness progress with fans. Follow all the latest Liverpool news and transfer rumours HERE Oxlade-Chamberlain who injured his knee almost a year ago in Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final clash with Roma has taken to his Instagram story to share a series of videos with his 3.5million followers. The footage shows the 25-year-old midfielder alongside team-mate Gomez on the training field at Melwood as they kick the ball to each other off a practice board. Young centre-back Gomez hasn’t appeared for the Reds since sustaining a fracture against Burnley in December, and has been quiet on social media during his three months of rehabilitation. But the 21-year-old followed suit as he added a comical video of the attacking midfielder to his story. The short clip of his training partner shows Oxlade-Chamberlain struggling to do some as Gomez referred: “Loser press-ups”. To which the former Arsenal man replied via his own caption: “For clarification… he lost best of three for 100 press ups… I’ve then offered a third game for 50 (press ups) because I’m a nice guy like that… The rest isn’t important.” Next up for Liverpool are Tottenham Hotspur on March 31 and it will be a huge boost to team morale if the pair can make their return to the matchday squad.
