Make Your Own Diet Plan:
Online Calculator:
Now there is no secret when it comes to gaining weight and putting on lean muscle and this easier said than done. You need to first realize that you are skinny or underweight and you need to gain weight. You need to get serious and make a promise to your own self that you will start putting in an effort to improve and become the best version of themselves. Now there are just three simple steps that you can follow to start gaining weight.
3 Steps to Gain Weight & Muscle:
1. Increase your Diet
First you need to know about the basic maintenance calorie level and in order to gain you need to eat above this level. An Online Calculator can be used to find this level but I know many people do not want to deal with numbers and calculations. So to keep it simple you need to first measure your weight at the start of the week and at then increase your diet marginally and at the end of the week measure your weight again. If the new diet resulted in an increase in weight you should stick to this diet and if it does not then you should further increase your diet the next week and keep on repeating this until your current diet results to weight gain.
Increasing your diet and calories does not mean that you start eating junk. The increased calories should come from healthy foods such as Complex Carbs, Protein and Good Fats.
2. Train Harder & Lift Heavier
If you already are used to lifting weight now your focus should be in lifting heavy which means progressive weight training. So every week and every next set you should try to gradually increase the weight and this puts stress on your muscle which leads to muscle breaking and results in muscle growth.
For beginners you should focus on correct form and angles as your body and muscle are not used to lifting weight and even if you lift a little lighter your muscle will feel that stress and will result in muscle growth.
3. Stay Consistent & Patient
Now gaining weight can be a really long and painful process. As muscle gain results are not as prominent as fat loss and this leads to demotivation and people not continuing with their program. Now when you stop seeing results and changes for a while you may have hit a plateau and in order to get out of it you simply need to change either your diet or your workout. But whatever happens you should never get demotivated and should stick to your plan.
