How I Stay in Shape without Working Out: My Diet

Here’s how I stay in shape. Ya’ll asked how I stay healthy so here is part 1 of an ongoing series I plan to do on staying fit and improving my overall health. In this video I give you a tour of my fridge and cupboards and walk you through my diet and what I eat. I don’t consider myself a picky eater but I have strategically CUT certain foods which has helped me to avoid working out.

Foods I avoid include:

– milk: although on occasion I will eat icecream & cheese
– beef: haven’t eaten beef for over 12 yrs
– pork: had it once as a kid and got a rash on my face & never ate it again
– bread/cereal: ill eat it but I won’t have it in my home
– junk food: chips, cookies, pop don’t exist in my home although I will indulge every once in a while

My lifestyle is no joke! I am constantly carrying heavy objects from point a to b. Case in point the chair I’m sitting on is an old vintage chair that I dragged home walking for 20 mins across town then up my hill. I did the same with my air conditioner unit! I bought it then had to wheel it across town and up my hill into my building. Stuff like this happens to me daily! I “work out” by constantly engaging my abs all day especially when carrying heavy objects. I learned this trick as a dancer when I was taught to constant pull in my solar plexus. I’ve never stopped since. Even though I’ve avoided working out for all these years I really want to challenge myself and my lifestyle and make working out a new habit. Lighting and my tan also helps me look more cut than I am : / So stay tuned for new fitness vids on the rise and more videos on how to eat healthy.

How you look plays a huge factor in how you feel. So yes looks are important but so is cultivating what’s happening on the inside. Feed your mind, body and soul goodness. Stay away from all trash including negative people, shows, gossip mags, music, and junk food! Oh and speaking of food for thought if you haven’t already watch the documentary FOOD Inc:

Moving, dancing, working out is the quickest way to get out of a depression or misery! Just dance 🙂
