This is Fast Food Fix: How To Stay Ripped Eating Burgers & Fries Ft. Rob Riches!

Let’s get to it!

Traditional fast food burgers are loaded with too much sugar, sodium, and saturated fat, which can lead to plaque build up in the arteries and cause heart complications.

You don’t want to completely eliminate it though, because saturated fat and cholesterol are necessary for the healthy production of our body’s cells and testosterone.

So with a few simple modifications, we can flip the traditional fast food burger and fries into a full flavoured, physique enhancing meal.

You don’t have to give up beef to have some dried out bland turkey burger either!

So let’s get right to it!

STEP ONE: Sweet Potato Fries

Ingredients:
– x4 Sweet Potatoes
– 2tsp Smoked Paprika
– 1/4 Cup Garlic Powder
– 1/4 Cup Black Pepper
– 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Preparation:
1. Skin sweet potatoes with carrot peeler.
2. Cut into approximately 4″ x 1/4″ strips.
3. Mix in extra virgin olive oil & spices
4. Preheat oven to 375˚F + cook for 30-40 minutes.

STEP TWO: Beef Patties

Ingredients:
– 1Lb 93% Lean Ground Beef
– 1 Whole Egg
– Pinch Kosher Salt
– Pinch Black Pepper
– x3 Garlic Cloves (minced)
– 1Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
– 2Tbsp Parsley

Preparation:
1. Mix all ingredients together in large bowl.
2. Form into 4 equal size patties.
3. Heat pan to medium heat with coconut oil and cook patties 3-5 minutes per side.

Step THREE: Burger Relish (Sauce)

Ingredients:
– x12 Plum Tomatoes
– 1 Large Red Onion (diced)
– x4 Red Chilli Peppers (diced)
– x4 Garlic Cloves (minced)
– 2tsp Smoked Paprika
– 4Tbsp Tomato Puree
– 4Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
– 4Tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce

Preparation:
1. Mix all ingredients together in large bowl.
2. Bring to boil in pot then let simmer for 15 minutes.

Nutrition Facts:
1. Calories cut by 50%
2. Sugar & Sodium – Cut in half!
3. Saturated Fat reduced by 2/3!

Per Serving:
Calories – 602
Protein – 46g
Carbs – 55g
Fats – 22g
Sat. Fat – 7g
Sodium – 780mg

BONUS – cut carbs even further with these great bun substitutions:
1. Replace bun with portobello mushroom
2. Replace bun with grilled egg plant
