Fitness modelling agency first of its kind in Australia

Australia’s Elite Fitness Models (AEFM) officially launches in December and is ready to shake up the face of the Australian fashion industry.

In an industry previously obsessed with impossibly skinny models, AEFM and their elite, healthy talent is ready to make a change. “Strong is the new skinny and AEFM is here to prove it,” says founder Jason Shepherd, a firm believer that it is time for society to change its view on the value of beauty.

Almost 20 years ago, founder Jason Shepherd found success as an Athletic Model.
Now he introduces Australia to the fitness physique, putting his reputation and expertise into his own modelling agency.

While modelling agencies in Australia offer only a minimal number of fitness models on their books, AEFM is the first and currently only agency in Australia to exclusively hire healthy, lean and athletic models. “We’re not here to be totally exclusive, that’s why when it comes to our models, there is no height or weight requirement, you simply have to be dedicated to your fitness and lead a healthy lifestyle,” says Jason.

The fashion industry is on the cusp of change and AEFM is heading the way with a fresh perspective. “We’re here to make a change. We want a healthy image to be the aspiration of a nation.”

AEFM’s sister company, Fitstock, also launches, offering easy to purchase stock fitness imagery for a variety of clients and usages.
