Do fitness models make good money?
Do most fashion models make good money?
Of course not. There are a lot of wanna-be models, and very few who hit it big.
The same thing is true of fashion models.
I’ve heard some of them make millions of dollars in deals in endorsements.
And millions of would be fashion models are sales people for dietary supplements and sports drinks hoping to earn enough to pay for their own supplements and diet.
There are fashion models who hit it big.
Some of them are appealing because they have a great back-story, with pictures of a 300 pound guy dropping to a 180 pound stud. Most are in the adds because they are both fit and attractive.
That’s the same thing.
No, it isn’t. Most people won’t buy something from a fit ugly dude unless it is a guy desperate to look that buff.
Some fashion models make good money.
Most would make more money as fitness instructors, bouncers, movers or even actors in the background. The smartest ones run a gym and make money on memberships, while they are their own walking billboards for the gym.
Or advertise various fitness regimes.
They might advertise a fitness program, but the person who makes the most money from it is the person who has the copyright on it. The guy who runs Zumba fitness makes more than the instructors who are sweating to salsa.
You don’t think much of modeling in general.
How many people waste money on beauty contest entry fees and lose thousands trying to win one contest to justify their effort and self esteem? Fitness contests are similar.
Except for the health benefits.
You get that from the workout. You can ruin your health taking drugs to try to win the competition.
They’re already spending a lot of money on supplements, a little more to win isn’t unreasonable.
How many guys getting buff to attract the girls would take steroids if they knew they risk being unable to act on the attraction? And most of the guys in the gym are broke, and they take any job to make money.
Even fitness modeling.
I’ll put that down to desperation and pride. But they’d make more money throwing boxes at FedEx.
