Current workout regimen:
Weight Training, 4-5 times a week
Lifting heavier progressively, higher reps with less weight when trying new exercises. I use BodySpace from BodyBuilding.com, as well as their workout articles. No, I am not endorsed!
Cardio: Dancing, 2-3 times a week. For more petite girls like myself, too much cardio can be detrimental – it’ll eat at your muscle gains! I used to be a cardio bunny – I done fucked up.

Diet:
Balance your protein, fats, and carbs by figuring out your macros! 🙂
HodgeTwins approach to eating, with balancing out meals.
Current fitness goals:
Put on more lean muscle, eat enough daily to sustain working out pace, work on imbalances, such as lack of flexibility in my calves, ankles, and hips.
Build a booty, quads (dominant currently), hamstrings & calves (both underactive).
Unassisted pull ups (currently maxing out at 6)
Unassisted dips (have yet to try – shoulder concerns)
Tips & Tricks:
Don’t lock your knees! Preserve those suckers.
Wear the flattest shoe you own for the sake of form and balanced muscles.
Go light until you’ve mastered form.
Full range of motion!
Going slow can increase the intensity of your lifts.
Brace your core whenever possible while lifting.
Ladies, don’t fear muscles! Muscle development means burning calories, and muscle weighs more than fat.
Because of lifting…
I have improved my posture, I am more aware of my body.
I have an appreciation for bodybuilders and the sport, it’s extremely difficult and hard to master – takes discipline and consistency. Yeah, there’s a few meatheads, but for the most part it takes a lot of research, coordination, observation, and learning to retain a great physique.
I have a raging appetite! I could sustain on one big meal a day before, and I was always in a deficit.
Dragging groceries in or doing heavy loads of laundry is significantly easier!
